I always wanted to film a local event,so I decided to shoot Charter Day at the University of Guam. There was a lot of cool events that day, it was also the perfect opportunity for me to shoot a local event. Lots of good dance groups from all around asia and Guam. Overall it was a fun event to shoot. Camera: Sony HDR SR-12 with Jag35 DOF adapter, 50mm 1.8 lens and a Raynox HD 3032 Wideangle Lens. |

FR3SH Dance Class - June 21, 2009 Take class with us EVERY SUNDAY! 3:30PM - 4:00PM: REGISTRATION 4:00PM - 5:00PM: CLASS LOCATION: ARTS IN MOTION - The Home of the FR3SH Dance Troupe, LLC 25 Morristown Road Matawan, NJ ABOUT THE CHOREOGRAPHERS: Amanda Suk (FR3SH, Dancer | EPIC Motion, Co-Artistic Director) + Shoey Sun (EPIC Motion, Co-Artistic Director) Growing up in St. Louis as a tomboy playing soccer, Amanda Suk decided to tap into her feminine side at 10 years old by studying ballet, jazz, and modern at a local dance studio. She began training with friends in hip hop and contemporary while learning about the NY underground dance scene, mostly breaking, at jams when moving to the city in 2005. Amanda is now the co-artistic director for EPIC Motion (formerly known as IFA Dance Team), a dance family she has been a part of for all her 4 years at NYU. During those 4 years at NYU she has also choreographed and performed for various groups and events on and off campus in the NY/NJ area. Upon graduating with a music business degree from NYU, Amanda recently joined Fr3sh Dance Company [Season 7.75] in addition to continuing to direct EPIC Motion. Some of her biggest dance inspirations are Rino Nakasone and Mariel Martin who constantly challenge her to be pushing past the typical ideas of hip hop choreography. MEMBERS AND AGES: x 10 in total: Ashley Banjo 20, Jordan Banjo 16, Ian McNaughton 25, Jamie McNaughton 23, Matthew McNaughton 16, Mitchell Craske 12, Sam Craske 19, Warren Russell 18, Terry Smith 24, Perri Luc Kiely 13. FROM: Essex TALENT: Street Dancing BACKGROUND: Diversity are 10 lads from the ages of 12 25. Most of the group are brothers and have grown up together. The group are one big happy family, so their chemistry on stage is real. They only formed Diversity in 2007 when the younger dancers combined with the older ones. In the 2007 they won the UK dance championships. Ashley who is the groups choreographer tries to create a dance style that is eye catching and entertaining using films such as Transformers for inspiration. All the group are from the East London / Essex area. There are 11 members with 3 sets of brothers and 3 other members. |
