Led Zeppelin - Ten Years Gone
|
"Ten Years Gone" is a song by English rock band Led Zeppelin from their 1975 album Physical Graffiti. Originally intended to be an instrumental piece, Jimmy Page used some 14 guitar tracks to overdub the harmony section. Robert Plant later added lyrics, which are dedicated to an old girlfriend who, ten years earlier, had made him choose either her or his music. Plant explained in an interview in 1975: Let me tell you a little story behind the song '"Ten Years Gone" on our new album. I was working my ass off before joining Zeppelin. A lady I really dearly loved said, "Right. It's me or your fans." Not that I had fans, but I said, "I can't stop, I've got to keep going." She's quite content these days, I imagine. She's got a washing machine that works by itself and a little sports- car. We wouldn't have anything to say anymore. I could probably relate to her, but she couldn't relate to me. I'd be smiling too much. Ten years gone, I'm afraid. Anyway, there's a gamble for you.[2] Some have speculated that this song was a variation of the never-released Led Zeppelin track "Swan Song", the name they chose for their own record label. This is one of the few Led Zeppelin songs in which it is possible to hear the squeak of John Bonham's bass drum pedal in the recording studio, the others being "Since I've Been Loving You" from 1970's Led Zeppelin III, "The Ocean" from 1973's Houses of the Holy, "Houses of the Holy" from 1975's Physical Graffiti, and "Bonzo's Montreux" from 1982's <b>...</b> |

This is a video I made, with a collection of some of my favorite photos and video of a ribbon dance. It's my first video, ever, so if you wish to be mean, feel free. I very much like how it came out though. It is my "interpretation" of No Quarter, by Tool (at least as far as my video editing skills would allow :) Peace&Love bitches, -Rachel Note: The photos used in the video are from DeviantArt, the lightning photos I found by Google Image Search, and there is one of myself that I felt appropriate for the feel of the song. The ribbon dance is a video I had found somewhere, and I've not the slightest idea who it is or where it comes from. Additionally, I was forced to cut the song short due to Youtube's -10 minutes requirement. Tragic,... I know. |

I thought "Zeppelin vs. Pterodactyls" was just an idea that was floated by Hammer Films in 1971 and never developed. It turns out Hammer was just reviving this forgotten Republic Pictures serial from 1936. Watch for tiny parts by Bela Lugosi, Noah Beery, John Wayne, Ralph Byrd, John King, the Wilhelm Scream and Terence Stamp. All My Love - Led Zeppelin

Guys, I have something to tell you: I broke up months ago with my girlfriend. =/ I made realy bad things and she did too, with lies, well.. Everything it's over, maybe even friendship it's over between us. She doesnt talk to me what its happening with her, and I'm realy sad about everything. I need to forget her. What do I have to do? I'm trying to ocupate my time etc, but I can't ler her go. We met some days ago, and she demonstrated she realy likes me, she admires me, but now she almost doesnt answer my emails, or if she answer, she is cold and short.. =/ at the end of the relationship I told her we couldnt see each other anymore coz it would hurt, but she asked me to be my friend, I tryed to accept, but we just argue and argue. I changed myself, I'm more mature etc but now I'm ready to get close to her, she doesnt want. She has a friend that ocupates her time and he likes her, and it seems that she doesnt need me anymore, coz when she is sad, she talks to him. when she wants to talk, him, when she wants to hang out, him, him him... =/ but she tells me she wont love anyone like she loved me, but that I lost her, and she thinks I'm only missing her coz of this. What do I have to do?? |
