Juggernaut vs. Valithria Dreamwalker, 25-man Heroic
|
Our first Valithria Heroic kill. Resto Druid PoV. Note that my portal jockeying didn't go well on this attempt. Highest stack I got was 11, and most of the others didn't do much better. We still finished the fight in 5.5 minutes. Just to clarify what happened, in my 3rd portal I got cut off by my other healers and didn't get a restack in the last few seconds. Since I knew I was going to lose my stack, I tried to use my whole buff duration before going into the next portal. But apparently a portal that's already taken by someone is visible but unusable. I went into the 5th portal as normal. After that, it was too late into the fight to make it worth going into any more, and we bloodlusted and finished out the fight. As usual, lots of room for improvement in a first kill, but hopefully this is informative. Common questions: Raid frames are OpenRDX. Music is the System Shock 2 soundtrack. |

Didactic vs Valithria Dreamwalker (Normal 10-player on PTR)
|
This is a kill on 10-player normal mode. Group Setup: Tanks: Protection Paladin x 2 DPS: Marksmanship Hunter, Destruction Warlock, Elemental Shaman, Shadow Priest, Arcane Mage Healers: Holy Priest, Holy Paladin, Restoration Druid Notable Boss Abilities: Valithria: Column of Frost — Marks the location under a random player target. After 2 seconds a column of frost erupts from this location, dealing 11310 to 12690 Frost damage to all enemies within 3 yards, knocking them into the air. Since she is friendly to the raid, players do not take damage from this ability, but they do get the knockback effect and take some fall damage. Summon Nightmare Portal — Nightmare Portals allow players access to the Dreamstate, where Dream Clouds spawn. Blazing Skeleton: Fireball — Inflicts 4713 to 5287 Fire damage to an enemy. Lay Waste — Surrounds the caster in flames for 12 sec, pulsing 3770 to 4230 Fire damage to all enemies every 2 sec. Blistering Zombie: Acid Burst — The caster explodes, dealing 9425 to 10575 Nature damage instantly and 750 Nature damage per second to all enemies within 15 yards. Lasts 20 sec. Corrosion — Whenever the caster lands a melee swing, the target takes 2000 Nature damage every 3 seconds and their armor is reduced by 10%. This effect can stack up to 5 times. Lasts 6 sec. Risen Archmage: Frostbolt Volley — Inflicts 8550 to 10450 Frost damage to nearby enemies, reducing their movement speed for 4 sec. Mana Void — Summons a Mana Void at a random enemies location <b>...</b> |
