IDF Search Team Delegation Leaves Romania for Israel
|
A number of Yasur (CH-53) helicopters departed from the Romanian crash site to return back to Israel with some of the IDF search team members. The delegation will leave over the course of the next couple of days in a gradual manner. In addition, a Hercules transport plane left Romania to carry remaining equpment left at the scene and refuel the Yasur helicopters on their way back to Israel. An IAF Boeing airplane has departed Israel for an air force base in Romania in order to return the coffins of the IAF crew who were killed in the helicopter crash. |

The events leading up to and throughout the flotilla incident are recounted in the video, as presented by the team of experts led by Maj. Gen. (res.) Giora Eiland in the IDF's internal inquiry. In light of weapons smuggling attempts, a maritime closure was established during the 2008-2009 Gaza Operation. Under the guise of providing humanitarian aid, a number of ships have attempted to reach the Gaza Strip, some permitted to enter, while others were stopped. Due to these attempts, the IDF General Staff and Navy outlined orders to prepare for future attempts to break the closure, and in preparing for the May 31st flotilla, the IDF planned far in advance with extended discussion, and various simulation model scenarios. IDF attaches abroad and foreign attaches to Israel were all briefed in advance. In addition, the Chief of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi sent a letter to the Defense Minister and Prime Minister emphasizing the following: "Cooperation between nation ministries is required and the military option which includes seizing, confiscating and detaining the ship's activists is a last resort and at a low priority." I have obtained video evidence of over 20 Israeli Military agents posing undercover in San Francisco's Westfield San Francisco Centre Mall as Kiosk workers. In May 2001 Westfield paid $US127 million for a 99 year lease on the retail area beneath the New York World Trade Center, Lowy was a member of the Golani Brigade that carried out some of the most horrendous massacres, and worst atrocities since the Ashkenazi annexation of Palestine. Israel: Military Robot Snake - 06-10-09
|
Video shows the six-foot-long robot, covered in camouflage, winding its way through rocks and tree stumps, its "head" a flat camera lens ringed by LED lights. The "snake" can also prop up its front sections vertically to peer over obstacles. It's remote-controlled by a soldier, who uses a laptop both to guide the robot and to see and hear what it's feeding back. The Israel Defense Forces plan to equip combat units with search-and-surveillance models, which could also be useful to find survivors trapped within collapsed buildings. Future models might be used to plant bombs in enemy facilities. |
