Hundreds of shoppers at the Westfield shopping centre in London got an early Christmas present this morning when dance phenomena Diversity, supported by 120 dancers, performed an impromptu 90 second dance routine to a medley of tracks including music by Michael Jackson and The Black Eyed Peas in the shopping malls Atrium. Diversity leader and Got To Dance judge, Ashley Banjo, said: "We have done a lot of performances recently, but this was by far one of the most exciting because the crowd werent expecting it. I have warned the boys, that there are so many talented dancers in Got To Dance we had better watch our backs.

DIVERSITY- Phenomenal Routine

Formed in 2007 the troupe are made up of members from East London (Dagenham, Leytonstone), and Essex and comprise three sets of brothers and four of their friends. Some are still at school or university but the older members include an IT systems engineer, a bathroom installer, and a telecoms engineer. The group, ranging in age from 13 to 25 during the filming of Britain's Got Talent, are: Ashley Banjo, Jordan Banjo, Sam Craske, Mitchell Craske, Ian McNaughton, Jamie McNaughton, Matthew McNaughton, Perri Luc Kiely, Warren Russell, Ike Ezekwugo and Terry Smith.

DIVERSITY DANCE TO THE TUNE OF DISNEY XD

Britains Got Talent winners, Diversity, and 100 young street dancers danced up a storm in Covent Garden today as they performed a one off routine to celebrate the launch of Disney XD a new TV channel from Disney. The impromptu dance extravaganza excited and surprised bystanders as the boys showed off their fancy foot work to mark the arrival of Disney XD, the UKs first primarily boy-focused TV channel for kids, which hits screens on August 31st 2009. In the run up to launch, Disney XD is setting a series of challenges for UK personalities to help inspire kids to try new activities. The first show will follow the young street dancers race against time to learn Diversitys specially choreographed routine in just a few days before the Covent Garden event. The exclusive behind the scenes look at the street dance challenge is set to air on the channel in early September. Jonathan Boseley, Vice President, Programming for Disney XD said: Diversity seemed like the perfect fit to help celebrate the launch of such a fun dynamic channel. Disney XD is all about kids celebrating their achievements and the challenges they overcome to reach their goals - who better to capture this than Diversity, whose talent and close-knit relationships made them such a success. Mitchell, who at 12 years old is the youngest member of Diversity, said: Weve had so much fun creating this dance for Disney XD and I cant wait to watch the new channel!
