ARM RealView Microcontroller Development Kit : DigInfo

DigInfo - www.diginfo.tv ARM, based in the UK, exhibited its RealView Microcontroller Development Kit at the Embedded Technology 2008 show. ARM is a company that licenses microprocessor cores to 80% of the world's semiconductor manufacturers. Recently the company released the RealView Microcontroller Development Kit designed to support software development environments. The new kit supports all types of devices equipped with ARM7, ARM9, Cortex-M1, and Cortex-M3 processors and is designed to support developers in semiconductor development and design. The new development kit includes an array of easy to use, developer oriented functions including the RealView Compilation Tool and the Keil μVision IDE debugging tool. With these functions, the kit provides an environment that is optimized for ARM equipped devices. ARM developed the new kit with a built-in Cortex-M3, a new device that replaces the JTAG interface. The Cortex-M3 can access debugging and test functions built into the IC and can verify operations. It is also equipped with a new function called Serial-Wire Debug that uses a 2-pin interface, and when a different pin is used, trace information on interrupt executions and parameter data can be displayed on the screen in real time. This device is now becoming the mainstream. |

This video shows some of the basic functions of my project The Rackbox. It does not do much of value, except fun:) Everything inside is monitored. So any faults and the system knows. The project consists of 7 AVR driven modules, each with it's own tasks. Signals are sent between the modules to exchange information. All fuses, power supplies and modules is monitored for faults.
